Idols

Deuteronomy 29
16 (For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)

God hates other gods. And idols. So, what are other idols today? What idols - things - do we worship? For some is it Cars? For some is it Motorcycles? For some is it Collectables? For some is it Jewelry? For some is it Clothes? Some watches? These are things which symbolize who we are. "Things" that we are known for. Things that take our focus off God.

So, what is in store for the Jew or Christian who does not keep focused on God?
