Forsaken

Mark 15
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, E'lo-i, E'lo-i, lama sabach'thani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Three questions. Has God ever forsaken the Hebrews? Has God ever forsaken the church? Has God ever forsaken you?

1. To quit or leave entirely; to desert; to abandon; to depart from. 2. To abandon; to renounce; to reject.
3. To leave; to withdraw from; to fail.
4. In scripture, God forsakes his people, when he withdraws his aid, or the light of his countenance.
