Galatians 4
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
This passage describes a Christian's relationship to God through Christ under grace. Here's the definition of servant, one key word in the passage.
Strong's Greek Definition for servant (# 1401)
// doulov // doulos // doo'-los //
1) a slave, bondman, man of servile condition
1a) a slave
1b) metaph., one who gives himself up to another's will those whose service is used by Christ in extending and advancing his cause among men
1c) devoted to another to the disregard of one's own interests
2) a servant, attendant
Here, Paul contrasts the Jews relationship God and the Christians relationship to God.
Galatians 3
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
So, under grace we are no more slave to the law. And, we give account to no one, except
God:
Romans 14
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
And 1 Corinthians 7
20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
